Axogen is hiring a Sr. Lab Specialist in Alachua, FL!
Job Summary of the Sr. Lab Specialist
The Senior Lab Specialist will support Axogen's educational efforts, including customers and sales teams by leading the design, planning and execution of education programs. They will provide technical and scientific expertise to thought leaders, surgeons, and clinicians. Sr Lab Specialist will assist and directly oversee lab staff (including lab technician) that supports medical affairs, professional education, clinical research, and marketing labs.
The position is based in our Professional Education Logistics facility and will have approximately 50% travel annually. The position will report to the Medical Director and will collaborate with Professional Education, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Clinical Research teams.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Lab Specialist
The specific duties of the Senior Lab Specialist include but are not limited to:

• Lead strategic collaboration with Medical Affairs and Professional Education to identify, plan, and organize surgeon educational events
• Develop and execute on regularly updated business plans to help drive adoption in residency
• and fellowship programs
• Provide hands-on as well as didactic training to various customers as it relates to therapeutic indications, current clinical trends, and scientific publications
• Serve as course instructor, or collaborate with surgeons to provide a peer-to-peer educational experience
• Read, review, understand, and articulate scientific literature to further the understanding of others
• Support national educational programs by identifying and developing faculty, providing hands-on instructions to participants, and performing other activities as needed
• Support the sales force by being a local technical, clinical, and scientific expert
• Responsible for the compliant conduct of Professional Education Logistics facility and staff
• Supervise and assist lab staff to support Professional Education Logistics processes, inventory management, order fulfillment and shipping.
• Serve as cross-functional leader role in launches of new products and new applications through collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Key Opinion Leaders
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, and SOPs

Requirements of the Sr. Lab Specialist

• BS in Life Sciences or Engineering preferred
• At least 3 years of experience required as an LPN, scrub tech, operating room asst or equivalent
• Experience in Medical Device Education, Sales, or Marketing
• Strong clinical aptitude and technical presentation skills, with a passion for advancing scientific knowledge
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
• Ability to take ownership on a project and drive it from start to finish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel 50% of the time, which will include weekends
• Awareness of the impact of your contributions on your team, the company, collaborators, customers, physicians, and patients.

Compensation
The anticipated base wage or salary range for this position is $57,680-$75,100.
The anticipated range for target compensation in the form of an annual bonus of 10% of base.
