Are you looking to add some variety to the important work that you do and share your knowledge as a CNA? We are a family-owned, award-winning BrightStar Care franchise seeking a full-time CNA (36-40 hrs/wk) to perform a dual role providing CNA care to clients and administration in busy Crystal Lake office. Candidates must have a current CNA designation and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Job responsibilities will include the following.

• assistance with CNA/Caregiver training/mentoring (mechanical lifts, special diet prep, other refresher training as needed by staff)
• support of new employee readiness (Plan of Care knowledge, dress code, specific other client needs)
• acting as lead back-up for new client care and filling client shifts
• introductions of CNA/Caregiver to new clients
• miscellaneous office support (annual training preparation, employee recognition, other support as needed)

CNA Client Responsibilities:

• Provide care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with height and weight measurements, if necessary
• Provide care according to the patient’s plan of care, assist with daily tasks, including but not limited to feeding, linen changes, light housekeeping

CNA Requirements

• A current, valid state certification in good standing
• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of a nursing assistant program
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Minimum 3 years of documented health care experience is preferred
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
