About the Department
Evernorth Strategic Intelligence is responsible for managing the collection, analysis and distribution of competitive and market data. The competitive information is used to develop insights and create actionable information for all areas of the Evernorth organization including PBM, Pharmacy, eviCore, Care Delivery, and Care Solutions. The group focuses on numerous PBM, health plan, and Specialty Pharmacy competitors, as well as other industry players to evaluate all aspects of the health services competitive landscape. The information is also used to develop a deeper understanding of key healthcare service competitors (e.g., CVS, United, Anthem) and numerous niche competitors and disruptors to inform the strategic direction for the Healthcare Services business with the primary goal of ensuring organizational leaders have the market understanding they need to make sound strategic decisions.

Position Summary
The Sr. Advisor, Strategic Intelligence supports the competitive intelligence process and function within the company. The competitive intelligence function will manage the collection, organization, and analysis of competitive market data to develop insights and create deliverables with actionable information for various areas of the organization.

Functions of the Job
Work with internal clients to complete ad hoc competitive intelligence research projects, including research into competitor products, programs and other relevant competitive data, ensuring research meets the needs of the requestor and is interpreted correctly
Writing, drafting, and distribution of Competitive Intelligence information to the organization
Creation and management of competitor profiles, presentations, and other competitor information
Proactively research and analyze competitors and identify new issues and trends to support the Evernorth strategic planning process
Present Competitive Intelligence material and other relevant information to internal and external clients
Dissemination, analysis, and ad hoc modeling of competitor financial information, to include benchmarking and understanding of the implications related toto competitor financial trends
Ownership and maintenance of the Competitive Intelligence SharePoint site, ensuring documents, presentations, and other collateral is up-to-date and stored in an organized manner
Requesting competitor Request for Proposals (RFPs) via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); storing, synthesizing, and distributing valuable information as needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field; or 14-18 years of equivalent work experience (Master’s Degree preferred)
8 – 12 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience
A familiarity with financial statements is required
Ability to handle complex analysis from issue identification to proposal of potential solutions
Strong business and organization skills
Ability to take initiative and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Excellent customer service, technical, and analytical, and communication skills required

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 109,500 - 182,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
