Bloom Creative Arts Preschool located in Bloom Early Learning Center is looking to hire a dynamic, creative, enthusiastic, and caring Speech Language Pathologist for our Hamburg and Derby locations. 1 Full Time Speech Language Pathologist is needed. Caseload consists of 3-5 year old students in center-based settings and we follow a school schedule with 6 week summer programming.

The perfect Speech Language Pathologist will demonstrate a genuine love for children who need speech therapy to improve their communication with peers and adults. The Speech Language Pathologist will be part of a dynamic team of therapists, teachers, administrators, and teacher assistants working together to help students progress and learn to become their best selves.

Responsibilities include:

-Providing speech services per IEP mandates and implementing IEP goals for each student on their caseload

-Daily note documentation per Medicaid guidelines

-Writing scripts for speech services per county guidelines (if OPRA/Emed number obtained)

-Working with team members to help students obtain their IEP goals

-Data tracking for goals and other needs.

-Quarterly progress reporting

-Developing annual reviews as a team for each student for the following school year

-Attend staff training days, department meetings, and parent meetings as requested

-Communicate with staff and families to provide techniques and ways encourage carry over of skills across settings

-Manage time and schedule independently

A masters degree from an accredited university and certificate of clinical competence to practice Speech Language Pathology required. One year of prior experience in pediatrics working as a Speech Language Pathologist and/or treatment of persons with developmental disabilities preferred but not mandatory.
