Woodfords Family Services is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our professional team of educators at our Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) in New Gloucester, ME

Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine.

Position Summary

The SPPS Program is equipped to provide educational and behavioral support services to K-5 learners diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic and treatment-based environment.

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide direct, quality, speech therapy to students by assisting the program through achieving the following responsibilities:

• Conduct speech evaluations as necessary for initial placements and on-going progress assessments.
• Develop Plans of Care for each individual student, and provide written quarterly reports and discharge summaries. Attend I.E.P., I.F.S.P and family meetings as scheduled or required.
• Provide training, direction and guidance on speech therapy goals to the Teaching Staff.
• Supervise any speech assistants in accordance with requirements outlined by the Maine Board of Examiners on Speech/language Pathology.
• Work in conjunction with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Teaching Staff to provide cohesive programming to the students.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a calendar year, center-based position with full-time OR part-time opportunities! Weekly schedule is Monday-Friday.

$54,000 annual salary - commensurate with experience and position type.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Disorders with current, valid, Certificate of Clinical Competence or appropriate completion of clinical fellowship.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Must possess good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
