We are looking for a NYS licensed Speech/Language Pathologist to join our Outpatient Clinical team of health professionals in providing excellent care at our facility. Typically, you'll be working with children with developmental disabilities. Our therapists provide one on one care.
As a Speech/Language Pathologist (Independent Contractor), you will evaluate and provide speech/language and dysphagia services to children with difficulties in speech, language and swallowing.
Essential Duties:
- Evaluate speech, language and/or swallowing disorders to assess the child's level of functioning and to determine and recommend appropriate therapy/treatment for children at Jawonio.
-Plans and conducts therapy sessions for assigned children. This includes reviewing their files, establishing treatment goals, determining effectiveness of speech pathology services and completing discharge plans.
-Providing information to the child's parents to answer questions and provide guidance related to the child's speech, language and swallowing progress.
-Services may include, augmentative communication systems, hearing, dysphagia, developmental disabilities, communication delays and disorders.
NYS License/Registration as a Speech/Language Pathologist is required.
Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
