Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire dynamic Level III Classroom Assistants, Level II Classroom Assistants and Classroom Aides to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our Export/Murrysville, West Mifflin and Cranberry Township locations. POSITION-Classroom Assistant III, Classroom Assistant II, Classroom Aide
Classroom Assistant III
- Bachelors (Required)
- PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
- Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
Classroom Assistant II
- Associates (Required)
- Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
Classroom Aide
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Evidence of prior staff development training preferred
- Prior experience with children with disabilities preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Classroom Assistants
- Planning and implementing activities to enhance students skills.
- Assisting in implementing the students IEP.
- Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
- Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
- Assisting in the instructional program, integration program and behavior management of students
- Classroom Aides assist in providing the above services.
BENEFITS
- Work hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6-hours days. Work only 30 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year!
- The hourly rate ranges from $14.50 to $18.00. We do offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well.
