Keystone Powdered Metal Company a world leader in the Powdered Metal Industry has openings for Press Operators at its Troutman, NC location. Since 1927, Keystone has pioneered many advancements in technology and products in the PM industry. Today Keystone is part of Sumitomo Electric’s Sintered Metal Components Division which has thirteen PM companies in ten different countries around the world.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recognize abnormal conditions of products
- Follow Process Sheets and Control Plans to assure conformance to requirements
- Complete Machine Preventive Maintenance of inspection equipment
- Measure dimensions of production parts using a series of gages including but not limited to, drop gages, micrometers, plug gages, fixtures, etc.
- Log inspection data and maintain Statistical Process Control
- Record daily production using Factivity System, production boards, etc…
- Responsible for the quality of all product packed
- Daily 6S of assigned presses
- Strive to achieve daily production targets
- Identify safety, quality, and process improvements via Kaizen ideas program
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, only 2 or 3 days in a row
- Ability to lift 35 pounds as needed
