What You’ll Do
XSOLIS is looking for a Solutions Analyst to fill a crucial role of creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between business product needs and technology delivery. You will be responsible for building relationships with the product team to thoroughly understand the business strategies and problems while collaborating with the technology teams to provide a thorough understanding of product feature requests and to help identify and document opportunities for improvements to technical solutions.
As part of our team, you will review, analyze, and evaluate business processes, systems, and user needs and collaborate with product and technology stakeholders to help recommend process modifications to support business strategies. In this role, you will need to be able to identify and communicate underlying business requirements to the technology teams. You will work with Technology Stakeholders, Product Stakeholders, and the Agile Delivery team to ensure business requirements and priorities are understood and that high-quality solutions are provided as well as help identify and mitigate project risks. Communication and organizational skills are keys to this position along with a problem-solving attitude.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with product owners, technical team members, and quality assurance to deliver high quality, technology based, business solutions.
- Assist QA team to fully understand acceptance criteria in order to identify potential test cases and collaborate with the technical team to assist in developing technical documentation and potentially end-user documentation.
- Work in collaboration with product owners to continually increase understanding of business processes and to help the technical teams translate business requirements into technical plans and solutions.
- Must be able bring clarity to requirements from various parties across organizational boundaries, including the product owner and technical teams.
- Work to gain agreement among the product and technical teams on the prioritization of work based on requirements as a result of a risk versus value analysis approach.
- Understand and document current-state processes (both business and IT), analyze gaps and deficiencies, and propose process improvements. Possess the ability to build and implement skills and tools to convey business concepts to the development team and the business users.
- Maintain ability to adapt as necessary to changing circumstances and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
2 – 4 years experience as Technical Analyst, Solutions Analyst.- Proficient in diagramming workflows, process flows, data flows, etc. using tools like Visio, LucidChart, Draw.io, or similar tool.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. TOGAF certification is nice to have.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and agile delivery processes. Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps/TFS, Trello, etc.
- Strong SQL skills along with troubleshooting skills – reviewing database logs, create/update SQL scripts, understanding of data flow from UI to Middle Tier Services to Database (SOA based architecture).
