Masis Staffing is seeking Solder Technicians for an electronics component company in South Portland, ME. This is a temp-to-hire position with weekly pay.

1st Shift - Monday – Friday - 7 am – 3:30 pm - $17.00 - $21.00/hour DOE

2nd Shift - Monday – Friday - 11 am – 7 pm - $17.00 - $21.00/hour DOE

Solder 1: you will be expected to install and solder thru-hole electronic components into various circuit board assemblies according to the Process or Documentation provided to meet our customer requirements using IPC-A-610 standards while maintaining ESD integrity.

Solder 2: you will be expected to install and solder thru-hole as well as surface mount electronic components into various circuit board assemblies according to the Process or Documentation provided to meet our customer requirements using IPC-A-610 Standards while maintaining ESD Integrity.

Solder 3: you will be expected to perform a more complex level of soldering. You will need to be able to solder, remove and replace components. Add ECO’s as well as rework and or repair of circuit boards. Complying with IPC-A-610 Standards, J Std, IPC7711 and IPC7721. You must always maintain ESD integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To be able to identify Components
• Ability to work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification as well as a Microscope
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings, and processes
• Follow operation sheets per engineering instructions
• Understand Polarity
• Ability to properly perform components if needed
• Ability to hand solder through-hole as well as surface mount components
• Ability to perform rework needed such as removal of thru-hole and/or SMT components.
• Have completed all modules in both the IPC-A-610 and J-Std. certification
• Need the ability to add ECO wires or any ECO when required
• Ability to repair electronic circuit board. Some repairs may include replacing pads or fixing a trace. At times you may be required to use the solder pot.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two years’ Experience is a plus
