PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and clean the foam injection system
• Troubleshoot any issues with any components of the foam system
• Verify accuracy of flow, pressure and weight meters
• Check that mixing ratios meet specifications, and correct them if needed
• Avoid and rectify any blockages of the foam system
• Communicate with supervision, TBM operator, TBM grout operator and pipe extension crew
• Manage consumable volumes to ensure no down time but also avoid wastage
• Diligent quality control testing of foam
• Avoid, minimize and stop all leaks
• May assist other craft workers and other tasks as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience with heavy construction
• Proactive nature to stay ahead of any issues in the system
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of machinery and tools
• Operate machinery and systems including drills, pumps, hoists and winches
• Must be able to interpret drawings and written instructions
• Monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to make certain equipment is working properly
• Experience with determining causes of operating errors and providing solutions
• Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operation, and the environment will affect outcomes
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and engineers

Physical Demands:

• Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, kneeling
• Occasional climbing of ladders
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds from ground to waist level
• Occasional repetitive use of powered and non-powered hand tools
• Occasional repetitive use of vibrating hand tools
• Constant repetitive hand, forearm, foot, and leg activities
• Repetitive movement of arms, legs, and torso together when the whole body is in motion
• Work in environmental extremes of heat and cold dependent upon job location
• Frequent work in dusty environments
• Frequent work in areas of excessive noise
• Works with hazardous materials such as cement
• Occasional work in inclement weather
