Social Media Manager Job at Ora Organic
What We're Looking For
Ora is growing rapidly and is establishing itself as a leader in premium, plant-based nutrition. The company has driven exceptional recurring subscription revenue growth and customer loyalty in its DTC channel. We're looking for a talented Social Media Manager to build our community on our social platforms.
As Social Media Manager you'll work with our marketing team to build our social community and presence through influencer partnerships, creative content, and engagement strategies. You'll also contribute to the development of our upcoming Ambassador program, a key component to our community.
The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about creating community, nerdy about nutrition, and have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role for another D2C brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning Ora's content calendar for Instagram, Pinterest & TikTok
- Creating compelling content, sourcing images, writing copy and posting to socials
- Managing Ora's asset library
- Sourcing UGC (i.e. video testimonials, customer stories, photos, etc.)
- Engage with our community on our social media platforms
- Work with the marketing team to rollout the Ora Brand Ambassador Program
- Foster relationships with influencers in our community
- Track KPIs and report on engagement and success of content
- Conduct ongoing research for high-growth engagement strategies, social platforms, industry, and market trends to help inform our content strategy.
What you bring to the table
- A solid understanding of community-building online
- Flawless copywriting and editing skills
- A good eye for design and brand aesthetic
- Passion for health and an interest in plant-based nutrition
- An organized, proactive, and reactive approach to problem-solving
- Well-versed in Instagram and TikTok best practices, utilizing in-app analytics, etc
- A desire to build a passionate and active plant-based community
- Curiosity to continuously learn and discover new opportunities
- A great sense of humor
Required Skills / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Min. 1-year professional work experience in a social media role for a D2C brand
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Canva
- Experience using Later, Hootsuite or other social media management tools
- Experience creating social content in-house
- Experience working with influencers and brand ambassadors
- Bonus: experience in photography, experience cutting & editing video
