Robert Gillings Productions is seeking a Director's Assistant and Social Media Coordinator for the Founder and President, Robert Gillings. This Director’s Assistant will provide administrative duties, work closely with producers throughout production, and will help manage the social media channels. They will work from pre-production through post-production and handle marketing and distribution.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages an active calendar, making recommendations and changes when conflicts arise
  • Schedule and manage meeting requests with other parties and filmmakers
  • Book travel as requested
  • Tracking daily progress against the filming production schedule
  • Checking in with cast and crew
  • Maintain expense reports
  • Assist and distribute schedules
  • Track activity across digital platforms
  • Assist in daily and weekly planning of social media content
  • Assist in the planning of social media campaigns
  • Content creation
  • Copywriting
  • Monitor social media conversations
  • Work with the director to brainstorm new ideas for social media advertising.
  • Assemble daily social media recaps.

  • Starting pay: $20 an hour

  • 10am-5pm

Gillings is also the director, writer, and producer of the horror feature “American Fright Fest”, which sees Dylan Walsh as the orchestrator of a “Purge”-like horror festival that goes awry when real killers turn up. The film was released globally in 2018. His credits also include the 2004 drama “The Kings of Brooklyn”, starring David Keith and Laverne Cox.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
