Our Walters & Wolf Glass is actively hiring Glaziers in La Verne, California.

Successful candidates will possess the following responsibilities:

• Installation of all types of glass or products used where glass would normally be installed or replaces.
• Installation of curtain wall and partitions for interior and exterior buildings.
• Replacement of broken glass in storefronts and commercial buildings.
• Fabrication and installation of extruded metal tubes, mullions, metal facing materials, muttons, fascia, trim moldings, panels of all types, slope glazing, window all and curtain wall construction.
• Responsible for the application of sealants.
• Ability to use the following tools: glass cutters, putty knives, hack saws, drills, chisels, hammers, screw drivers, files, caulking guns and pry bars.
• Use of power tools that include: drill motors, rotor hammers, chop saws, screw guns, and glass lifting apparatus.
• Use of equipment associated with glass and frame installation such as cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and swing stages.
• Ability to work with and around other construction trades.
• Willing to travel varied amount of distances to job sites and locations.
• Ability to work in high places or conditions.

• Must be an active member of the Southern California Glaziers Union.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, area, and volume.
• Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, orally, by diagram, or schedule format.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach above head with hands and arms, lift, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, pull, talk and hear.
• The employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
