The Solomon Organization currently has an opportunity for a Snow Plow Driver/Grounds Technician with at least one year of experience with operating plow and salt trucks. This is a hybrid position who will be part of a full-time year round full-service grounds team. Work consists of mowing, weeding and other grounds duties and removing snow from lots, parking structures and salting during snow events. Candidate must be available to be on call 24 hours a day during winter months as we can not predict when the weather will change. Must have a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation. Pay commensurate with experience.

For a limited time, we are offering a Bonus Incentive Program for the First 120 days of employment for new Plow Driver/Grounds Technician(Former Employees are only eligible if the last day worked is prior to January 1, 2021):

Month 1: $250.00

Month 2: $500.00

Month 3: $750.00

Month 4: $1,500.00

Bonuses will be paid out the first pay date after each milestone has been reached.

Position Duties:

• Be a positive, productive, and dependable team member focusing on high quality workmanship
• Operate and maintain commercial-grade landscape equipment properly.
• Operate snow and salt plow and equipment
• Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and string Trimmers.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
• Gather and remove litter/refuse
• Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and structures, fences, and water features.
• Other outdoor assignments as assigned by supervisor

Position Requirements:

• Familiarity with the techniques and equipment used in landscaping.
• You also must be able to handle the physicality of our work outdoors: weather conditions, heavy lifting (30-80 pounds), and extensive walking.
• Standard work includes mowing, string trimming, hand weeding, pruning, edging, backpack blowing, hauling debris, etc.
• Other duties include loading/unloading of equipment, changing equipment blades and oil, cleaning, greasing machines, etc.

Attendance is an imperative job function as is working in a team-oriented environment. A team player with the ability to work independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS IN ADDITION TO THOSE LISTED ABOVE:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, and performing installations at awkward angles. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, dirt, and minor hazards. Snow removal mandatory.
