Our preconstruction services are growing rapidly and we are adding positions to support our needs in this area. Our preconstruction team will guide clients from initial concept through the final contract. We are searching for a Preconstruction Coordinator to support the department by coordinating and administering activities of negotiated work.

Position Summary – The following position requires you to be on site to perform safety and occupational health management in the construction industry. A minimum of 5 years of safety work and on-site experience, as well as a 30-hour safety class is required. Or a Third-Party, Nationally Accredited (ANSI or National Commission for Certifying Agencies - NCCA) SOH-related certification and only 4 years of experience is equivalent. SSHO shall maintain competency through having taken 8 hours of documented formal, on-line, or self-study safety and health related coursework every year. Examples of continuing education activities that meet this requirement are: writing an article, teaching a class, reading/writing professional articles, attendance/participation in professional societies/meetings, etc.

• The SSHO must ensure that the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 are met for the project.
• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections. Attach safety inspection logs to the Contractors' daily quality control report.
• Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports. Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime and sub-contractors.
• Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site.
• Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meeting, and periodic in-progress meetings.
• Implement and enforce accepted APPS and AHAs.
• Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution. Post a list of unresolved safety and health deficiencies on the safety bulletin board.
• Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
• Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals on site and their material safety data sheets.
• Perform and champion jobsite safety functions as needed.
