We are a luxury furniture brand that is experiencing exceptional growth. We are looking for a dynamic, positive, and very detail-oriented individual to join our team.
Job responsibilities include:
- Review all new orders, develop shop drawings and details to produce orders at workroom.
- Develop and/or fine tune all shop drawings for current collection. This includes frame drawings for upholstery.
- Spearhead all new product development and design; working our guest designers or developing your own designs.
- Create drawing for client orders in CAD and 3-D.
- Lead our migration to CNC-based manufacturing. This will including visiting the woodworking show this year, and helping to select the CNC machine for our shop.
- Assist Operations Director with project management and oversight of wood furniture production, including BOM's, kitting, etc.
- Oversee work of staff engineer.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
- Intermediate PC skills including: Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.
- Solid interpersonal skills; ability to communicate (both oral and written) effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.
- Possess solid knowledge of best practices for furniture design and CNC operation
- Possess solid furniture product knowledge; able to learn and apply new product knowledge in a timely manner.
- Excellent problem solving ability and follow through.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Works well under pressure; excels at multi-tasking and prioritizing work flow.
- Bilingual in Spanish
Level of Education/Training/License
- BS/BA/BFA degree in Interior, Industrial or Architectural Design.
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in furniture/office/space planning, with SolidWorks. Manufacturing experience preferred.
