Shop Maintenance Job at Nelson

Nelson Connects has an immediate opening for a Shop Maintenance Associate at a leading manufacturer in Novato of metal and plastic components!
What you'll do:
- Perform scheduled maintenance of machines (CNC, Anodizing, and more)
- Shop clean-up including clearing metal and plastic chips, vacuuming sumps, changing coolant, and various work site repairs
- Contact and schedule manufacturer service calls
- Keep records of service completed and communicate any issues to Maintenance Lead and Shop Manager
Must haves:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willing to learn and grow within the role
- Well organized with excellent attention-to-detail
- Experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, etc
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand, sit, twist, bend, lift (30lbs comfortably), and push
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- U.S citizen or legal resident
Nice to have:
- Forklift, equipment or auto repair, experience in aerospace or electronic manufacturing industry, trades experience (plumbing, electrical, etc)
Hours: Training (2 weeks) will be 10am-6:30pm Wednesday thru Sunday, then moving to Monday thru Friday once completed
Pay: $20-26 per hour
