Essential Functions:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of shipping and receiving, including freight, returns, receiving, parcels, inventory control, and transfers.
• Ensures all shipping from production is executed correctly, efficiently, and according to regulations.
• Manage daily personnel and resource plan to meet expectations for productivity and quality
• Driving operational continuous improvement initiatives for the department for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
• Managing cycle count program to optimize warehouse accuracy.
• Drives continuous improvement in process flows for shipping and receiving.
• Creates, builds and maintains excellent relationships with key suppliers both internal and external.
• Ensure standardized processes for the handling of all inbound goods from time of loading, including U.S. Customs/FDA clearance and timely delivery.
• Establish a process where shipping and tracking are updates available upon request, including Management Reports and performance indices.
• Supervise shipping and receiving department staff including assigning personnel to specific stations during shifts.
• Analyze delivery orders and demand forecasts daily to estimate shipping and delivery requirements using this information to create employee schedules and resource allocation requests.
• Assure all shipping/receiving equipment is maintained and scheduled for routine maintenance.
• Manage cycle counts, inventory verification, inventory tranactions, and pull product for warehouse as needed.
• Support with any ad hoc projected on an on-needed basis.

Qualifications:

• Preferred 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, managing personnell in an industrial environment
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Shipping & Receiving Operations required, 7 years preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience required, 5 years preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain logistics or other field, preferred.
• ERP experience required; EPICOR preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
