This position supports the Shipping Supervisor by communicating and performing all shipping procedures. Will also work in the department boxing parts.

Responsibilities:

• Assists internal and external customers.
• Creates and completes shippers.
• Completes scheduled daily tasks in a timely manner.
• Schedules pickups with Freight carriers. Follows and complies with customer shipping guidelines.
• Completes paperwork with completeness and accuracy.
• Boxes parts for shipment to customers.
• Resolves non-conforming issues.
• Processes shipments for UPS, FedEx and Air packages in a timely manner.
• Reports any issues that might arise.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Order Processing in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Previous Customer Service is a plus.
• Ability to drive a forklift and work a pallet jack.
• Must have a general working knowledge and average skill in loading and unloading parts.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to do basic math, including decimals and percentages.
• Intermediate reading and writing skills.
• Must have strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Must be able to visually identify product labeling.
• Must have basic computer skills. SAP is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and safely under pressure.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and safety guidelines.
• Must be able to prioritize work load and adapt to last minute changes.

Work Environment/Safety:

• Performing these duties will involve working additional hours, direct contact with customers, and be able to handle stressful situations.
• Being exposed to noise, odors, fumes, and dust;
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• PPE's include safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
