Shared Living Provider/Respite for Mother & Child Job at Victory Human Services Inc
Our Shared Living program allows adults with disabilities to become part of a host family, with all the benefits and responsibilities that sharing a life and a household entail. The host family helps the individual connect with the wider community and provides the necessary personal assistance and training. Victory Human Services' Case Managers and Service Coordinators stand ready to provide expert assistance when necessary.
We are currently in need of a host family to assist a young mother and her six year old child. This provider will need to have two bedrooms available and experience with ID/DD individuals as well as children.
In exchange for providing companionship, support, and social opportunities, you will receive a generous tax-free stipend each month.
Requirements:Eligibility Requirements:
- Providers must have a home, with two available bedrooms, that are accessible and meet the needs of the individuals
- Providers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- CPR and First Aid certification are required.
- Providers must have an acceptable CORI
- Experience in Human Services and advocating for people with developmental and psychiatric disabilities preferred but not required
