Job Description
:
The Huffines Automotive Service Technician inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains customer vehicles. The primary duties include using industry-standard shop equipment and tools to perform repair work or routine maintenance on customer vehicles. They will also inspect vehicles for any potential issues, document the findings, and communicate recommendations for repair or prevention of future breakdowns.
Responsibilities
:
- Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
- Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
- Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards
- Ensures the shop runs efficiently by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
:
- At least three years of dealer-level experience (GM preferred)
- Some post-secondary automotive training
- High school diploma or GED
- ASE or Manufacturer Certification
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Results-oriented self-starter
- Unrestricted driver license and clean driving record
- Demonstrated strong technical performance record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering world-class customer service
- Demonstrated desire to learn new processes and adapt quickly
- Proficiency in computer skills
