Use your technical knowledge and excellent communication skills in Red Hat to build trusted relationships and provide technical account management for our customers. The Red Hat North America (NA) Telco, Media, and Entertainment (TME) team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us in Chicago, Dallas or Philadelphia. In this role, you will guide new business with some of Red Hat’s fastest growing accounts covering mobile and fixed service providers in the US. You’ll help our team create solutions and advocate compelling recommendations to Red Hat’s telco customers and guide them to adopt our innovative open source technology. To achieve this, you’ll need passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and create business solutions at the enterprise level. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will specialize in architecting Red Hat’s open source technology in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
What you will do:
- Educate customers on the capabilities of the Red Hat solutions portfolio and conduct live demonstrations of the solutions
- Build trusted relationships with customers’ technical staff and leadership
- Identify and qualify opportunities; sell the value of Red Hat solutions
- Manage and carry out complex proofs of concept
- Architect solutions with both Red Hat and partner technology and that meet complex customer requirements
- Gain deep understanding of customer environments and use cases and be the advocate for customer priorities with the business unit (BU)
- Provide leadership and guidance over cross functional teams and specialists supporting your accounts
- Provide overall technical account management
- 5+ years of experience as a sales engineer, solutions architect, or equivalent role with enterprise accounts
- Extensive RHEL and/or competitive Linux experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience with emerging technology in areas where Red Hat competes including DevOps, cloud platforms, container platform and orchestration, and virtualization
- Hybrid cloud experience
- Open source experience
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
The following will be considered a plus:
- Recent Telco network experience including an understanding of key network functions virtualization (NFV) concepts
- Open source experience
- Practical experience with Red Hat or competitive solutions
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Public cloud certifications
