Shape the Next Generation Environment of our Government Customers

As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will work to design, develop, integrate and continuously improve a suite of custom solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Using Cloud and Infrastructure as Code tools to deploy application
• Collaborating with partner organizations to jointly design, integrate, and deploy software
• Understanding large Akamai systems and how they work. Be able to configure and troubleshoot them in unique environments.
• Operating with a devops mindset, helping to improve process and automation

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Have experience implementing scalable software with at least one of the following: Python, C/C++, Java, Perl, or Shell scripting
• Have experience working in Linux/UNIX environments, preferably with an emphasis on distributed systems and/or containerized solutions experience
• Be able to gather customer needs and create engineering requirements that satisfy security and scalability concerns
• Have experience with database systems and SQL
• Be knowledgeable of internet protocols such as TCP/UDP, HTTP, TLS, and DNS
• Have US citizenship and either have a US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance
