Senior Director Government Sales -full-time position will report directly to the Vice President of Emerging Markets.
The SR Sales Director Government (Federal & State & Local) (SSDG) will be responsible for growth in all federal, state, and local government and government-related accounts. The SSDG will work to extend Zebra’s government market penetration across the United States and serve as an expert resource to help identify, develop, and facilitate sales with the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Postal Service, and state and local government (including education) (DoD, VA, USPS, and SLED).
Overall, the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all efforts to grow Zebra’s U.S. government sales. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in government sales leadership and a proven history of working directly with both federal and SLED customers as well as with leading federal and SLED prime contractors and systems integrators and qualified set aside partners. The candidate must possess a deep knowledge of government procurement laws, regulations, and practices as well as a full understanding of government budgeting procedures and government contracting vehicles.

- Manage and own all federal and SLED opportunities in driving new revenue assigned targets.
- Create, develop, and implement a US federal and SLED sales strategy as well as implement region/area strategies in all assigned sales targets.
- Lead government tradeshow efforts and collaborate with Government Marketing and Government Affairs in creating and executing a comprehensive Zebra government market development plan.
- Monitor government bid calendars ensuring that Zebra has visibility and representation in all major governmental technology bids related to the company’s market offerings.
- Oversee Zebra’s DOD, VA, USPS, & SLED contracts to assure currency and compliance in consultation with Zebra’s contract compliance and Legal teams.
- Identify, target, establish and expand key customer relationships at the federal and SLED levels of government at both the headquarters and regional levels.
- Manage assigned operating budget.
- Develop and maintain high-value relationships with key decision makers.
- Maintain knowledge of political climate, market trends, and contracting needs.
- Conduct regular business reviews with strategic partners.
- Coordinate closely within Zebra to achieve MBO targets and goals.
- Pursue relevant technical and consultative sales training.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15+ Years managing and leading sales teams.
- 10+ Years experience within Federal and State and Local Government verticals.
- Must have proven experience with managing relationships with designated federal government agencies, as well as state & local government agencies and municipalities.
Travel frequency 75%
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree or equivalent experience

Salary: USD 171600.00 - USD 257400.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
