WHAT WE'RE SEEKING
Katmai is a web-based 3D video conferencing platform for remote work, events and all else metaverse. It runs on the Katmai Engine, which provides graphics, networking, audio, video, physics and more. We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst that is passionate about ensuring the quality of software.
As a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst you will be working closely with the Product, Engineering, and UI/UX teams to oversee the quality of a new SaaS product that will be built from the ground up and help us create a new platform to enable our growing business scale to new demands and accommodate a growing number of new clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the excellence of quality for our new product by driving the creation and management of tests cases for the application. As part of your role, you will deliver for users an application experience that is free of defects, embrace end-to-end ownership and collaborate in a cross-functional environment with your colleagues.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Utilize advanced testing methodologies to plan, design, and develop well-structured comprehensive test plans and test cases by identifying testing requirements from user stories.
- Participate in requirement gathering by collaborating in a cross-functional environment with engineering, product, design, UI/UX, and business.
- Review requirement specifications and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback.
- Perform manual testing to document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to the engineering team.
- Evaluate test results to ensure completeness and thorough coverage of the application.
- Become the subject matter expert.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Prior experience (5+ Years) working as Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Solid understanding of Software Quality Assurance Methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to details and a deep understanding of how it can affect the quality and usability of the product.
- Strong understanding of Agile framework and principles.
- Prior experience working on/with software automation testing (a plus).
- Deep passion for building innovative SaaS software solutions.
Katmai is a fully remote company currently hiring in the United States and Canada. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are based on your job-related skills and experience and by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Katmai is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future
- Location is United States: USD $70,000 and USD $100,000 for a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst
- Location is Canada: C$70,000 and C$110,000 for a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst
