GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting CSG’s Critical Success Factors, 1) Safety First! 2) Financial Success (including operational excellence); 3) Employee Satisfaction (including development and training), and 4) Customer Satisfaction. Promote OEG’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Primary duties include: Lead the preconstruction process efforts for multiple projects to ensure the design is aligned with the budget, schedule, and is constructible.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Mentor and oversee the work of 3-4 junior level electrical engineers/designers.

  • Review/stamping of OEG designed projects. Projects can range in size from 500 sq.ft. office tenant improvements to 500K sq.ft. high rises to 4MW data center expansions.

  • Estimate engineering fees and write proposals to OEG PM’s for OEG design build projects.

  • Assist Project Managers and Estimators as needed with electrical engineering/design expertise during the preconstruction/pursuit phases of projects.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Strong management skills. Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated financial analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    5 years of experience as a registered electrical engineer. Professional Engineer registration in Oregon and Washington. California and Arizona registration is also preferred, but not required.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Demonstrated experience in progressive roles within project management and leading a team. Excellent internal and external customer relations and ability to manage cross-functionally within the organization. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Understand the fundamentals of electrical construction document production using REVIT and be able to manage engineers/designers who are producing the documents.

  • Understand the fundamentals of photometric calculations, Neher Mcgrath heat calculations, power system studies (fault current/OCP Coordination/Arc Flash) and be able to sign/stamp the reports when completed.
