What We’re Looking For

As a Health Systems Business Analyst, the position collaborates with the Care Management and IT Informatics teams meeting Trillium’s mission transforming lives and building community well-being through partnership and proven solutions. The analyst provides Trillium leadership the tools and data to make informed decisions on bettering services, initiatives, and outcomes. A deep understanding of structured query language (SQL) and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting is crucial to fulfilling the position’s responsibilities. Join the team working to better serve our neighbors across 28 counties in eastern North Carolina. On a typical day, you might:

  • Collaborate with Trillium’s IT Informatics department to develop reporting specifications that meet business requirements and organizational needs.
  • Conduct analysis, summarize, and interpret results, using structured query language (SQL), Microsoft SQL Server Reporting, Microsoft Excel PivotTables, PivotCharts and VLOOKUP, and BI tools or other analytics tools such as R or Python.
  • Ensure data in reports and dashboards is accurate, timely, and statistically valid for state, operational, and program specific deliverables.
  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations or improvements based on industry trends and professional knowledge.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Education (if applicable): IT, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Business or Human Services

Experience: Two (2) or more years’ experience in a business/system analyst role using SQL analyzing business processes and workflows and providing evaluations, benchmarks, and/or process improvement recommendations. And, experience in extracting, creating, and working with large data sets from complex data warehouses and financial databases. Or, equivalent of higher education or higher education/experience.

Preferred Experience (if Applicable): Prefer three (3) years of the above experience. Prefer experience in analytics, and/or the healthcare field.

License/Certification: Preferred (if applicable): One or more of Microsoft data systems certifications such as R or Python or equivalent certifications (SQL server, BI, or Azure).

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must reside in North Carolina to be considered for remote status.
