The Honeywell Country Finance Leader is the primary owner of the financial accounting & compliance for all legal entities registered in Puerto Rico (hereafter called “the Country”). The role has end-to-end responsibility and oversight over US GAAP and Statutory reporting and ensures an environment of strong internal controls. The role closely collaborates with the Regional Finance Centers in Phoenix and San Luis Potosi through direct management of staff and/or outsourced service providers.

The Country Finance Leader reports into the Americas Regional Finance Leader and is an important partner to the regional business, tax and treasury teams. Other key partners include External and Internal Auditors, Corporate Finance and Functional and Site Management and SBG Finance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support indirect cost analysis for the site including AOP and working with the Site leader.
• Ensure Statutory and US GAAP reports are timely and accurately filed for all in-country reporting units and legal entities. Manage staff or outsourced service providers supporting the above.
• Partner with outsource firm to complete all local government Tax Filings and payments throughout the year.
• Prepare and submit the annual Workers Comp report and payment.
• Prepare and submit the annual 480 Service Withholding Forms and Filings.
• Conduct material, annual Balance Sheet reviews.
• Safeguard company assets in the country - review and approve fixed assets/inventory counts.
• Sign Representation Letter for the units in the Country.
• Lead and coordinate internal/external audit for the country and oversee any regulatory audits as well.
• Serve as a business partner and overall HON controllership point of contact for Corporate tax for all tax-led strategic initiatives and R&D projects, as well as provide necessary information and assistance for tax audits and compliance matters.
• Support Regulatory reporting including withholding-Tax as well as other financial statistical reporting required by the local government authorities.
• Responsible signatory for local banking transactions as well as signatory to the statutory accounts
• Partner with SBG Controllers to address in-country legal entity change management needs, including acquisitions, divestitures and core business processes migrations.

Must Have:

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration
• 5+ years of experience in managing legal entity compliance
• 5+ years knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP
• 3+ years of experience with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements
• US citizenship due to contractual requirements
• Ability to speak, read and write English
