Our firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The right candidate will be looking for a new challenge and will have experience with the required duties. This position requires strong communication, organizational and computer skills. Job Duties:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Create and pay vendor invoices
- Receive and deposit customer payments
- Payroll, including bi-weekly processing of payroll and as needed upon termination, knowledge of paying taxes and filing payroll reports
- Enter/Terminate/Maintain employee data in third party payroll system
- In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts which include, but not limited to Bank, Credit Card, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets and Payroll
- Compose Recurring and Nonrecurring journal entries
- Complete month end, quarter end and year end closing process timely and with minimal supervision which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting including multiple, detailed financial variance analyses
- Create and function as Lead in preparation of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
