Arxada is looking for a Senior Accountant for the Americas. This is a remote position and will assume responsibility for accuracy and completeness of Financial Statements, to manage tax and statutory aspects, support funding & equity restructuring and to drive compliance with internal controls. An integral part of the job is to ensure legal entity integrity from a finance standpoint in a high-speed transformation environment along with driving change and transformation agendas at local level are a key requirement of the role.

Arxada is looking for a Senior Accountant for the Americas. Key Requirements:

Drive accuracy and completeness of financial statements (Monthly IFRS and Statutory)

Perform review of balance sheet and P&L prior to load into OneStream

Prepare annual report and statutory accounts. Manage the GAAP conversion between IFRS and statutory accounts

Ensure mandatory governmental / national obligations are met (e.g. reporting of national statistics)

Review quarterly tax accounting submissions with Group Tax and / or 3rd party provider

Ensure tax compliance, including the maintenance of transfer pricing documentation, preparation of corporate income tax & indirect tax returns and timely filing and support management of tax audits together with Group Tax and Tax advisors as appropriate

Support requests related to Pension Fund matters

Drive financial compliance and ensure effective control environment is in place. Act as Internal Control owner/coordinator at local entity level

Support remediation or mitigation at local level of Segregation of Duty (SoD) conflicts based on SAP Access Management (GRC)

Manage external audits

Support the set-up of new legal entities (or migration of existing legal entities) in SAP from a financial and technical standpoint to ensure integrity of financial reporting and compliance with tax, statutory and internal controls requirements

Manage bank relationships at local level and ensure bank signatories are reviewed and updated regularly. Act as bank signatory

Ensure effective cash forecasting process at legal entity level under the governance of Treasury. Address affiliate funding issues in a timely manner

Support equity restructuring, including dividend payments

Support projects that have an impact on legal entities (e.g. new payroll provider)

Act as a change agent to ensure that change process is deployed with minimal disruption and in a sustainable manner across local entities

Work with other areas of Finance to identify and support Process Re-engineering and Continuous Improvement across all of Amazon Finance
Key Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting required

Certified Accountant, ACCA / ACA / CIMA preferred
-
5-10 years experience in International environment, preferably from a global operating company

5-10 years in Finance Management and Accounting Proficiency

Excellent understanding of global Finance and Business processes and very good knowledge of Financial ERP Systems (e.g. SAP/BW)

Proven ability to identify poor processes and implement improvements
-
Demonstrated an ability to work across functions and geographic boundaries
