At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for designation.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

We are looking for a Policy Manager for the secure certificate product who is passionate about research, quality and compliance. The Secure Certificate Services department is the voice behind SSL and Code Signing Certificates being issued by GoDaddy and Starfield Technologies. As an SCS Policy Manager, you will work with Tech Risk, Secure Certificate Services and Secure Certificate product engineers to complete the 3% audit for GoDaddy’s Certificate Authority, maintain the validation sources/documents and help with certificate problem reporting. The right individual will be self-driven, have an open mindset, dedicated to policy and procedure and has a willingness to gain knowledge to enable innovation. Your role will have a direct contribution to GoDaddy’s growth in domestic and international markets.

Responsibilities:

• Work with SCS, Tech Risk and PKI Engineers to ensure completion of the 3% audit
• Lead a small team of advanced associates with issuance guidelines, performance expectations, 3% audits, validation source approvals, etc.
• Verify and draft changes to Validation Sources Document
• Assist with Certificate Problem Reporting
• Follow CAB Forum initiatives and manage updates to all Validation Documents
• Assist in the design and participate in implementing automation and reporting to reduce compliance efforts and improve audit efficiency
• Consult with the SCS and PKI developments to improve internal processes
• Work with Tech Risk, SCS Admins and Management to complete Certificate Problem Reporting
• Consult with Tech Risk/Compliance regarding policy interpretation and implementation
• Perform validation related tasks, as assigned

Your experience should include...

• Subject matter expert on certificate policies and practices for all types of certificates with a minimum of 3 years of validation experience
• Hands on experience with the 3% audit and an in depth understanding of the BRG Portal
• Experience managing a team, establishing KPI’s and driving process improvement
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, be detail oriented and a self-starter
• Clear understanding of all Validation documents, processes and requirements.
• Ability to operate independently, as a member of a group and in a lead capacity
• High degree of creativity and problem-solving aptitude with demonstrated ability to deliver well thought out solutions to complex technical and compliance related problems
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-output, time sensitive environment
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail
• Track-record of delivering results and increasing responsibility in a fast-paced, fluid environment
