What You’ll Do:
  • Provides leadership in configuration management planning developing configuration standards. Provides quality assurance leadership to team to validate standards are followed. Ensures configuration baselines are established and maintained. Works with change review boards to make sure only approved and validated changes are migrated to the Production environment following the ASAP and Agile methodologies.
  • Provides leadership to monitor implementation schedules for all release types. leads the building, managing, and maintaining of cut-over plans as releases are conducted. Experience in the use of MS Project and the relationship that SAP technical, functional, and development tasks (including conversion) have on the cutover process is required. Experience managing full life-cycle releases in an SAP environment is required.
  • Manage all aspects of the change and release processes for the SAP solution landscape. Incumbent will be responsible for planning and facilitating all changes within the SAP environment and maintaining a proactive and structured deployment process. The team lead will also provide input and feedback in regard to SAP requirements to the Enterprise change management standards and procedures.
  • Oversee quality assurance and test plans for software development projects to insure the best possible outcome and ensure proper tracking, oversight, and communication of quality assurance efforts on each project.
  • Implement best practices for integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, development of test cases, status reporting and requirements traceability.
  • In addition to overseeing the quality assurance efforts, the Team Lead must also be a hands-on practitioner, including but not limited to:
    • Lead quality assurance process from test design to final reports.
    • Create and implement tests, test cases, and design specifications.
    • Guide and participate in bug testing, identification, and problem solving.
    • Analyze test results and communicate with other teams to resolve software defects.
    • Communicate test results and ongoing needs to management.
Who We are Looking For:
Summary of the type of person / skill set you are looking for: Lead with experience in enhancement, maintenance, and emergency release planning and management. Works with the other management team members and the change review board to define releases and monitor the status of each release. Coordinates with all teams so that development, training, and communication is complete prior to each release. Responsible for communicating timelines and providing updates to team members on status of each release.
Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship required (must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance)
  • Must hold a Project or Program Management certification (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other equivalent/recognized Project or Program Management certification); Project or Program Management certifications from accredited institutions are required. Examples from government and commercial sources include, but are not limited to the Defense Acquisition School, The Program Management Institute, Department of Veterans Affairs as well as Universities and Schools. Substitutes for a Project or Program Management Certification such as training, degrees or relevant experience, will be considered and must clearly state how the credentials are equivalent to the certifications.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Must have 5 years of experience in project management of SAP implementation experience using SAP Activate methodology.
  • Must have 10 years of experience leading teams/people with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
  • Must have experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones.
  • Must have experience in analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in high complexity problem solving and provide demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
  • Foster speed to value by scoping minimally viable products.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense or other Federal Agencies
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
