Under the direction of the Sanitation Lead, the Sanitation Technician will be responsible for keeping facility, equipment and machines in clean and orderly condition in order to get all products made in American Canyon within microbiology standards. Demonstrate ownership in plant and food safety, including all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Follow master cleaning plan daily.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs and vacuums floors of the building, using cleaning solutions, tools and equipment
  • Clean walls, pipes, ladders, windows, plant equipment and building fixtures, using cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms and variety of hand and power tools.
  • Gathers and empties trash daily.
  • Communicate all relevant information to relieving shift at shift-change including equipment issues, any tasks not completed, etc.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.
  • Committed to providing a safe food product.
  • Works within all regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety and food defense requirements.

About you :
  • High School or vocational school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of two to four years’ manufacturing experience. Past history of working in a food production environment.
  • Excellent attendance and safety record.
  • Must be able to work in all areas of the factory as well as office environment and laboratory.
  • Some exposure in a high noise environment, occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Overtime may be required
  • Works well in a team as well as independently.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Detail & results oriented.
  • Ability to work on temperatures of 100F-120F
