General Purpose:

The Finance Manager establishes, administers, maintains and supervises the finance and credit policies with the overall objective of improving gross margin and customer satisfaction. Will support and assist sales personnel in retail financing activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and administer internal financing programs to aid in the sales of complete goods
  • Develop and implement retail finance training for the sales team
  • Utilize various software programs
  • Achieve and maintain company financing goals
  • Manage budgets associated with funding financing activities
  • Manage customer account collections
  • Develop and maintain retail financing data and customer reports
  • Maintain a high working knowledge of the sales process and assist sales reps when necessary
  • Communicate and maintain relationships with finance vendors
  • Develop, implement and manage point of sale process for customer service agreements like insurance, maintenance plans, etc.
  • Acquire and maintain necessary licenses for selling insurance in applicable states

Supervisory Duties:

  • With sales growth, future supervisory duties are possible

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of PrairieLand Partners and AgriVision Equipment Groups vision, mission, guiding principles/values.
  • Ability to apply analytic principles (statistics, mathematics, economics and finance).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective writing, speaking and computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of John Deere equipment, programs, competitive products, and the Agriculture equipment industry.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree is required.

Experience:

  • Experience with John Deere sales applications is preferred.
  • Experience in retail finance is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
  • Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
