Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Houston, Freeport, and Bay City, TX areas is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for a Safety Coordinator. We are seeking qualified candidates that are focused on project success and exceeding customer expectations. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all of the company’s safety procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Site Safety Inspectors provide safety support services for specific projects by monitoring the project’s compliance with company, state, and federal safety standards.
- Working in an advisory role with project management, the Site Safety Inspector provides the knowledge and skills to help generate a positive health and safety culture and to ensure that occupational risk is properly controlled. Instructs and educates field employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Moderate knowledge in Loss Control, Accident Investigation and Claims Management acquired through prior work history or documented on the job training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Familiarity with construction safety work rules contained in Supervisor Safety Manuals as well as OSHA Part 1019 and 1926 regulations.
- Current Basic First Aid / CPR certification
- Clear graded background check
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
- Preference given to candidates with 3 years professional experience in the administration of safety and risk management programs or occupational safety and health, preferably in a construction industry at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
