Purpose of Position

The Safety & Compliance Program Manager oversees and coordinates the departmental programs and projects within the Safety and Technical & Compliance Programs department to ensure they meet business goals and deliverable timelines. Their main duties include organizing, planning, execution and team status updates.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including project sponsors/executives, subject matter experts, project team members and external suppliers in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Identify, monitor, and communicate project-related issues including scope changes that may arise during the implementation.
  • Orchestrate and drive the successful planning and timely completion of each task to achieve successful execution, including the identification and mitigation of risks and issues which may impact the project. Ensure program scope consistency between companies,if applicable.
  • Manage appropriate budgets, submit invoices/POs for approval.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 4+ years of experience managing medium to large-scale implementation projects using a standard project management methodology.
  • Demonstrate accountability in project ownership and solution-oriented work approach.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Prior experience managing teams, tasks, project budgets, and prioritization of activities.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and build consensus with various audiences and manage project activities.
  • Proven organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to learn a new business domain and to build subject matter expertise in a short period of time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and project management tools.
  • Business analysis experience in process definition, gap analysis, and workflow design is preferred.
