Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking a Care Partner Registered Nurse to join our team!
Full-time position available with complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with match, and more.
Hours are day shift 7AM to 7PM
- The household nurse follows the guidelines of the nursing practice set to assure compliance of regulatory standards
- The household nurses are partners, teachers, and role models of professional nursing practices for Care Partners and advocates for quality clinical care for the residents.
- Provides each resident with routing daily nursing care including: passing medications, observing Resident's condition and communicating them to the Director of Nursing as needed.
- Reviews resident clinical record; ensures accuracy of daily orders and documents scanned into medical record.
- Answers questions regarding Resident's welfare, care, and general condition.
- Implements the plan of care and delegated medical concerns.
- Maintains cleanliness of medication area in household: resident medication cabinets and refrigerator.
- Coach and collaborate with Care Partners in providing optimum healthcare for the residents by reporting symptoms of the resident's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Administer medications via orally, subdermal, and intramuscular and carry out treatment orders.
- Valid unencumbered Virginia RN license
- Graduate of an accredited and state approved school of nursing
- Prefer experience with dementia
- CPR First Aid
