Get to Know the Opportunity:
Analyzes, researches, and independently responds to Request For Proposals (RFP) and Request For Information (RFI) from existing and prospective clients for defined contribution plan services and other products. This includes standard requests and larger and complex RFP’s that may require additional research and analysis. Additionally, this role is responsible for drafting and maintaining responses within Consultant specific Databases, Advisor Questionnaire’s, Web Based tools and assisting the organization with ad hoc informational type requests (IT questionnaires, follow-ups, preliminary requests, etc.).
Please Note: This position allows remote work from home but will require travel to our Voya office as business requires. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius from your assigned office.
The Contributions You’ll Make:
  • Responsible for coordination and completion of custom Requests for Proposals (RFPs), consultant questionnaires, and web based tools leveraged by advisors. This includes completing moderate and complex RFPs, consultant questionnaires, while striving to achieve a target 30% finals rate. Regularly looked upon to write and craft well written responses across subject matter for custom questions with limited assistance.
  • Assists with the coordination and completion of Consultant Databases, Vendor Profiles, and Proposal Software Database Updates on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual cadence through systems such as RPAG, Envestnet, InHub, RFP360, etc. as well as responding to IT Security questionnaires.
  • Coordinate and conduct planning/strategy sessions with stakeholders, sales executives and appropriate Subject Matter Experts (senior management, legal, IT, product, plan administration, implementation, investments, etc.) to address the scope of the RFP, issues, product questions and establish ownership and timeframe for RFP completion.
  • Assess information needs, conduct research and contact functional representatives to retrieve and coordinate all required information and manage RFP process through completion, prior to deadline.
  • Forward updates to the RFP proposal database manager with new/custom responses on a regular basis.
  • RFP Specialists are responsible for the hard copy production of their proposals as required and will be expected to go into the office to print, bind and ship the necessary materials to meet the requirements of the proposal.
  • Assist with any post-RFP submission requests including follow-up questions or requests for additional content/materials.
  • Other duties as assigned such as fulfillment and completion of investment charts.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years defined contribution experience
  • Or 2-3 years of proposal writing experience
  • Or 1-2 years of proposal writing in a DC environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities with limited assistance
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
  • Experience with Xerox production equipment is a plus

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$69,700 - $87,130 USD
