B Safe Security is looking for a full-time Residential Installation Technician to aid our company’s growth. This position’s main base of operations will be our Oreland, PA office. This role will merge your past opportunities into how we do things at B Safe. We are looking for technicians with experience installing fire, burglar, access control, and CCTV systems. Our salaries are very competitive and based on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer questions from clients about their system and show them how to work the system if necessary, providing five-star service
• Evaluate information furnished for the job
• Follow safety practices to safeguard against injury and damage to property
• Follow the rotating on-call schedule
• Install and troubleshoot fire, burglar, access control and CCTV equipment
• Make connections and required adjustments as directed, test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center
• Perform other duties as required

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Prior experience as maintenance/installation alarm installer preferred
• Knowledge of installing fire, burglar, access control, and/or CCTV alarms
• High school degree or equivalent
• Experience installing doorbell camera technology a plus
• Port forwarding experience and/or knowledge of configuring routers/POE switches a plus
• Electronic trade school training a plus
• Prior experience as maintenance/installation technician a huge plus
• Familiarity with one or more of the following product lines: Honeywell, DSC, Napco, Hikvision, Keyscan, Door King, Firelite, Silent Knight considered a plus

REQUIRED FOR ALL APPLICANTS

• Candidates must qualify to obtain a Delaware state technician’s license
• Communication skills
• Ability to work with others with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a drug test
