Research Survey Methodologist Job at RTI International
RTI International’s Survey Research Division has over 60 years of experience delivering excellence to our clients. Comprised of 150 research professionals, we collect complex behavioral and attitudinal data in many settings. The Program for Research in Survey Methodology has an opening for a Research Survey Methodologist to join our team in providing solutions to current survey research challenges. Candidates will preferably work from our Chicago, IL, Research Triangle Park, NC, or Washington, DC offices. However, remote work will be considered.
- Provide methodological leadership to survey projects and proposals.
- Provide methodological expertise and communicate effectively with internal and external clients with respect to project design, experiment design, questionnaire design and testing, responsive design, non-response analysis and literature reviews.
- Analyze data and write reports.
- Contribute to proposals and business development.
- Take the appropriate proposal training courses and apply knowledge and project experiences on proposal efforts.
- Lead technical portions of a proposal.
- Mentor early-career staff.
- Meet scientific stature goals by submitting papers to peer-reviewed journals, participating in professional meetings and associations, and developing tools and methods to advance RTI’s capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in social sciences with at least 6 years of experience in survey data collection or Doctoral degree and 1 year of experience in social sciences.
- Strong verbal and writing skills, including strong communication skills
- Knowledge in quantitative and qualitative survey research methodologies
- Research-oriented background, data analytical skills, and a proven track record for identifying and solving problems.
- To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working on survey development, design, sampling, and/or questionnaire design and evaluation.
