About the role:

The role of Research Engineer is to conducts research, analysis and development of the embedded software for different sensors solutions and service subsystems of bill and coin authentication and recycling systems.

About the team:

Our team primarily focuses on research and development of new solutions in the field of banknote and coin authentication, which include all stages from the analysis of the physical properties of the research object and the development of appropriate sensors, to the final electronic-mechanical design including FW and SW support. Similar spectrum of tasks requires specialists of different profiles with high professional skills and knowledge of related disciplines, which our team is famous for. Responsibilities and Duties:

· Design and build embedded sensor control systems to support research projects, including embedded system firmware

· Test and debug the systems and improve its efficiency and performance

· Collaborate with/within cross-functional teams (research, mechanical, SW/HW, etc.) to create sensor systems based on their needs

· Follow internal design guidelines, including documentation

· Other duties as assigned*

Qualifications and Required Skills:

· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering

· Professional experience in embedded systems

· Programming experience in C/C++

· Experience in HW design, knowledge of Mentor Graphics is preferable

· Experience in troubleshooting embedded systems, microcontroller peripherals and measurement circuitries

· Experience working in real-time systems including RTOS and common embedded systems communication protocols

· Understanding of physics in optical, electro-magnetic and thermal domains

· Knowledge of CAD systems for HW and mechanical design, ability to use MATLAB

· Basic soldering skills

· Strong interpersonal and writing skills

· Ability to work as a part of the team

· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

· Self-motivated and passionate about your work and embedded systems

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
