Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to an on-going research study funded by the National Institutes of Health that is designed to identify the causes of depression in mid-life women in the menopause transition. The person in this position would work with the Principal Investigators to recruit women into a 13 week study to examine how estrogen fluctuations during the menopause transition contribute to mood impairment and altered brain activity (measured via EEG) and how administration of estrogen versus placebo would improve mood and brain activity. The individual in this position would obtain informed consent, conduct psychiatric interviews, monitor side effects, and support the EEG testing session.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience working in a human research setting, enrolling research subjects and obtaining informed consent. Experience conducting interviews or monitoring side effects and adverse events.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with IRB modifications, Redcap, and generating progress reports. Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
