We currently have an opening for a Reliability Engineer (Electrical); this role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
About Port Townsend Paper Corporation (PTPC)
The Port Townsend Paper (“PTPC”) mill has been in continuous operation for over 90 years. We operate on a continuous basis to produce OCC and kraft pulp which is used to manufacture linerboard, kraft paper, corrugating medium and market pulp. Job Responsibilities
- Leads & supports safety efforts as a top priority.
- Identifies equipment that has a significant impact on overall facility reliability.
- Works with operations and maintenance to ensure critical equipment is inspected.
- Leads Root Cause Analysis investigation & reporting process to determine how to best learn from and prevent them from reoccurring.
- Works with operations and maintenance to develop reliability plans.
- Develops/implements preventive maintenance for equipment reliability.
- Reviews all proposed process and process equipment changes.
- Reviews all proposed engineering projects in area of responsibility.
- Provides technical support to maintenance personnel on equipment repairs, troubleshoots problems and equipment reliability issues.
- Guides and supports lubrication, oil sampling/analysis, vibration analysis, predictive tech.
- Guides and supports precision maintenance best practices and training efforts.
- Guides and supports MWS and planning efforts via KPIs and other methods.
- Special projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Ability to teach and train others.
- Familiarity with maintenance practices.
- Ability to work with software particularly CMMS, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to lead small group presentations.
Required Experience
- 3 to 5 years or more experience in the pulp and paper industry.
- Experience with training preferably Pulp and Paper or related industry.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
