Responsible for registering all patient types using established policy and procedures of the facility and communicate effectively with the patient/family, peers and all members of the healthcare team. Obtains accurate demographic information from patients and/or family members, verifies all proper insurance information, secure managed care referrals, obtain appropriate signatures on all forms, and collects co-pays at the time of service. Understands third party regulations, referrals, authorizations, Advance Beneficiary Notice, and Point of Service collections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Medical Terminology
License, Certification, Registration:
Act 33/73 Clearance
Experience:
Minimum: Typing and customer service experience
Preferred: Previous registration experience.
Other Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills to relate to varied customer types. Flexibility to work varied shifts and days of the week.
Location: Butler Health System · BMH Registration Staff
Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift w/Weekend & Holiday Rotation, 11pm-7am
