What you will be doing:

To Assist the Director of Nursing in leading and directing the overall nursing operation over the course of a shift in accordance with residents’ needs, government regulations, and company policies so as to maintain excellent care for the residents while achieving the Center’s business objective.

You will be in charge of the shift, ensuring staffing needs are met, run midnight reports, chart checks, note orders, and admissions. RN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the DON and ADON in working with management staff, Administrator, and Consultants in planning all aspects of the nursing operation, including setting priorities and job assignments. Monitor each unit’s activities as assigned; communicate policies; evaluate performance; provide feedback; and assist, coach, and discipline as needed.

· Conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, the effective coordination with other support services, the cleanliness and appearance of the residents, and the morale of staff and to ensure residents’ needs are being met in a proactive manner.

· Carry out, coordinate, and manage administrative functions in areas or programs related to Nursing Services which may include departmental documentation or medical records; nursing supplies; ancillary supplies or services; center QA/QAPI; care plans; MDSs; infection control program; skin care program; Medicare; special programs; staff scheduling; selection, training, and orientation; and related functions.

· Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc., if needed.

· Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

· Provide emotional and psychological support to residents and families when needed

· Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

· Doing hourly hall checks to ensure associates are reporting to their duties

Who we are looking for:

· Proven experience as RN

· Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team

· Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures

· Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

· Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Compassionate and able to handle stress

· Successful completion of RN license program is a must
