Palm Beach Institute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in West Palm Beach!
Founded in 1970, the Palm Beach Institute was the first private drug and alcohol treatment center in the state of Florida. As a leader in the 12-step, residential treatment model, the Institute offers medical detoxification, along with inpatient, transitional living and aftercare services. We are part of Delphi Behavioral Health Group.

The ideal candidate is someone who is/is able to:
- Work well and calmly in high energy environments
- Take initiative to resolve issues and concerns
- Well-versed and confident in exercising de-escalation skills when appropriate
- Understanding of basic medical protocols in a medical detox program
- Submit timely and accurate documentation
- Flexible
- Empathetic and compassionate, maintaining the respect and dignity of clients
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with both clients and staff
- Work as a part of a interdisciplinary team, fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administer nursing assessments
- Administer medications, treatment and procedures.
- Carry out plan of care and medication orders from medical providers.
- Provide education to clients on medications and side effects
- Obtain vital signs, conduct blood glucose level, TB and UA testing
Job Requirements:
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Florida
- Minimum one (1) year experience in behavioral health, preferably in a detox or residential treatment setting.
- Current state license and BLS certification required
