The Position:
We’re looking for a full time Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Manager, located in the Las Vegas Area. This position oversees the day-to-day operations for the assigned specialty area and performs administrative duties such as coordinating care teams for patients, acting as a liaison between patients, patient families and healthcare professionals. This position will manage budgets, hire, and train staff and assist in developing and implementing policies and protocols.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, the position requires experience providing direct hospice care to terminally ill patients and their families while functioning within a medically approved plan of care. Demonstrated clinical skills in hospice with appropriate specialty experience with Adult or Pediatric patients is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
The RN Clinical Manager supervises and/or provides direct patient care for the Adult Hospice Program. The position supervises all other members of the Interdisciplinary Group either directly or indirectly. The incumbent must be effective in explaining the hospice concept of care to patients, families, physicians, resource and referral sources and other community members. The ability to prioritize, order medications, DME, and supplies using the hospice approved formulary and supply list is required.

Essential Job Functions:
- Follows an individualized Plan of Care established by the RN for each patient.
- May function as the Director of Nursing as directed.
- Manages the schedule of clinical staff
- Manages clinical aspects of patient care.
- Delegates responsibility and availability of clinical services on a twenty-four (24) hour basis.
- Adheres to patient rights, abuse reporting and confidentiality policies.
- Fosters and maintains an effective working relationship between peers, professional staff, and other personnel.
- Understands/provides basic principles of palliative care/pain management within the Scope of Practice.
- Attends scheduled staff meetings and or in-service training.
- Adheres to the departmental dress code requirements related to personal grooming and attire.
- Assists in developing effective Plan of Correction in response to surveys as needed.
- Supervises and delegates duties to multidisciplinary clinical personnel
- Demonstrates ability to problem-solve and make decisions by: Assessing situations and considering alternatives, seeking guidance and direction as necessary, utilizing proper chain of command.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills by coordinating activities to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency, willingness to adjust or revise work schedules as requested.
- Assumes responsibility for on-going personal development and continuing education.
- Stays current with all mandatory agency and regulatory requirements.
- Completes assigned projects within specified time frames.
- Provides oversight of patient care delivered by all clinicians.
- Demonstrates reliability by reporting to work on time and providing proper notification for absence or tardiness
- Adheres to patient rights, abuse reporting and confidentiality policies
*The Requirements:*
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Nevada)
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Reliable transportation and maintained vehicle insurance
- Minimum of two (2) years, supervisory experience as a RN in hospice
- Able to successfully complete a background and drug screening pursuant to NRS 449.188 and NRS 179A.100
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
