Outpatient medical oncology is a busy department with patients being seen in clinic by a provider, either a Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner. In addition we provide infusion services which may include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, or other IV therapies. Our clinic staff is made up of Nationally Certified Oncology RN’s, Oncology Nurse Navigators, LPN’s and secretarial staff to take care of patient needs.
Schedule Details: 8 hour shifts; varied start times that rotate based on employees' needs 7:30am, 8:30am, or 9:30am start times. Weekend rotation of every 6th weekend. Every effort is made to give a consistent day of the week to create a "set" schedule.
What You Will Do:
The Registered Nurse (clinical nurse) in Medical Oncology works with the patients and providers in both the clinic and infusion and all 3 ProHealth Care cancer center locations (Pewaukee, Oconomowoc and Mukwonago). In this particular opportunity, we are searching for a nurse to support patients in both the Infusion and CVAD clinic.
This nurse is responsible for creating personalized treatments, accessing and de-accessing ports and providing infusion treatment for every cancer patient under their care – this is the driving force behind all we do.
What You Will Need:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
- Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN, preferably in oncology or critical care environments*CA #LI-MO
