Registered Nurse (Intake – FT & PT) Job at Seaside Health System
Seaside Health System is seeking full-time and part-time Intake Behavioral Health RN in our Baton Rouge Inpatient Hospital.

Responsibilities may include:
- Provides patient assessment and treatment by assessing new patients within eight hours of admission
- Initiate treatment plan
- Administer individual nursing care as ordered by the physician
- Provide direct patient group treatments as scheduled
- Documents daily treatment team progress note
- Completes necessary admission paperwork and forms in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other disciplines and treating physician regarding patient care and revision of treatment regime as part of the treatment team
Requirements:
- Must have a Louisiana State RN license.
- Military RNs and their families are eligible for expedited RN in licensure in LA and are encouraged to apply.
- One year or more work experience in a psych/mental health/behavioral health facility preferred but not required.
- Active listening skills and empathy for patients.
- Mature, professional, and positive attitude.
- Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to set boundaries, use and interpret nonverbal ques.
- Emotional Intelligence including the ability to manage stress and anxiety, knows when to ask for help and how to be a reliable colleague.
- Critical thinking including the ability to implement interventions that are proven to result in a positive outcome for patients
